CUNNING inmates who escaped from a New Orleans jail scrawled a message for guards: "Catch us when you can!"
The 10 escapees, who face a range of charges from domestic abuse to murder, pulled a "defective" cell door off its tracks and then ripped a metal sink and toilet unit from the wall, according to Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson. At least one of the steel bars protecting the plumbing fixtures "appeared to have been intentionally cut using a tool," according to a statement from her office.
