Crew member carted off after construction snafu

THE new set for Live with Kelly and Mark is “cursed,” say some crew members after one of them was seriously injured in a construction accident. Now sources reveal the married chatfest hosts are furious over what’s been a “disastrous” move from their old location.

“A piece of the set fell and hit him,” fumes a show insider about the accident. “It was a major safety issue and rattled everyone.”

Sources say the unidentified staffer was likely inches from being killed, and his injuries were serious enough to cause him to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

The damage to the set forced producers to postpone the highly touted premiere broadcast in the gleaming new studio for a week, moving the show to a temporary facility.
