Prince admits cold-water swimming makes him 'scream' and pays tribute to his wife as he returns to the area where they spent the early years of their marriage

He has been happily married for 14 years, and last week the Prince of Wales appeared to acknowledge the Princess of Wales as his better half.

“Behind every average man is an even better wife,” Prince William said as he chatted to a couple about the importance of having a strong partner by your side.

Meanwhile, the Princess seems to have persuaded him to share her healthy hobby of cold-water swimming. He told swimmers with Colwyn Bay Blue Tits that he has tried cold-water dips in Scotland, saying: “I love it. I do a lot of yelling and screaming when I get in.” But, he added: “You feel great afterwards.”

The royal father of three also spoke about home life, including the importance of sitting down to eat as a family and keeping children off screens.

He made his comments during a visit to North Wales, where he spent time at a youth organisation that helps to create safe spaces for young people facing challenges such as bullying or homelessness.
