How the former Spice Girl proved the sceptics wrong with her thriving fashion and beauty ranges
Her dresses have been worn by the Princess of Wales, Beyoncé and Gwyneth Paltrow, and she sells one of her eyeliners every 30 seconds.
And a report from Victoria Beckham Holdings, which represents the designer's fashion and beauty ranges, reveals that business is building briskly, with the company delivering double-digit revenue growth for the fourth year running and sales growth of more than 26% last year.
Part of the success is down to Victoria's hugely popular beauty range and its star product: the Satin Kajal eyeliner. The designer shows off the products in popular makeup tutorials on her social media accounts, and Harper, her 14-year-old daughter, has started to create her own videos, too.Buzz is building around the brand's first foundation, released on 3 September, and Victoria's fashion and beauty empire will feature on her own docuseries on Netflix, following on from the success of her husband David's show on the streaming giant in 2023.
The brand's most recent financial results show that last year's total revenues were comfortably above £100 million. Although the report also revealed a loss of £4.5m in 2024, it stated that bosses at the company believed they had now optimised the business and there was strong momentum for popular items such as handbags and makeup.These positive sales figures are the culmination of a dream long held by Victoria, 51, who set up her label in 2008 amid scepticism from the fashion world. The former Spice Girl has proved her critics wrong and is going from strength to strength.
