MUSEUM SMASHES FUNDRAISING RECORD AS STARS GLITTER IN GUCCI

Stars from the worlds of Hollywood and music shone brightly at the 13th annual Lacma Art and Film Gala presented by Gucci, held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art last week.

Guests including Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian and Kaia Gerber attended the glamorous event, which was co-chaired by museum trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, and honoured film director Baz Luhrmann and US artist Simone Leigh.

Reality star and businesswoman Kim made a statement by wearing the Attallah Cross - a spectacular necklace with a giant amethyst and diamond cross pendant, once worn by Princess Diana.

A CROSS TO WEAR

Kim, 44, who donned a plunging white Gucci dress, teamed the striking piece with jewellery including a pearl and diamond necklace from Bulgari.

The historic necklace - which Kim bought at auction at Sotheby's for $197,453 (£151,900) in January 2023- was never owned by the royal family, but was lent to Diana by a friend, businessman Naim Attallah, who bought the piece in the 1980s.
