Future Of Design Awards 2025 Celebrates Innovation
BW Businessworld
|October 04, 2025
The sixth edition of BW Future of Design Summit and Awards 2025, held in Mumbai on 18 August, brought together pioneers, creative thinkers and industry leaders to deliberate on the evolving landscape of design
Every year, the Future of Design Summit brings together leaders from the design industry to speak about how they are using design thinking in their practice. This year too, the conversations ranged from design in 2030 to AI & ethics and even design in cinema.
Design is central to the growth of small and large businesses alike. According to industry reports, India's product design and development services market is expected to have a revenue of US$2,713.9 million by 2030, and the interior design market is projected to have a revenue of US$81.2 billion. Experts at the summit emphasised how responsible design is at the core of their work. And, this is precisely the direction we should be moving towards.
What distinguished this year's summit was its emphasis on design as an ecosystem rather than a siloed discipline. Across multiple panels, keynote sessions and presentations, experts explored how design thinking influences industries as diverse as manufacturing, architecture, consumer products, fashion and technology.
