AI PCs and Liquid-Cooled CPUs Marking the Next Wave of Tech Innovation

COMPUTEX 2025 has been the home to some of the most interesting tech, and BW Businessworld was on the ground to get a first-hand look. Starting from Intel's Panther Lake announcement, MediaTek's 2-nanometre chip technology, AMD's new data centre CPU, Acer's lightest laptop ever, MSI's new 8-inch handheld, Nvidia-powered GB300NVL72 rack scale GPUs, Thermaltake's liquid-immersed BenQ's uber impressive golf simulation projector, the annual international IoT trade show had it all.

imageThis year, Computex 2025 in Taipei marked a significant shift, evolving from a components and tech equipment expo into a convention where global tech leaders engage directly with the public to showcase their latest products and innovations, fostering a more inclusive ecosystem. As global AI applications diversify rapidly, Computex 2025 focused on three key topics -- AI and robotics, next-generation tech and future mobility. On the one hand, many well-known names showcased their latest and greatest innovations for the public. On the other hand, one could see a few lesser-known tech companies looking to expand their horizons with some very interesting additions to their product catalogues.
