The Verna's radical design turns heads every time you spot one. But is the rest of the package also worth it in a segment that's so demanding? We find out.
-
One of the key issues with being successful is that eventually you’re expected to be so with every new venture that you undertake. Hyundai, with its success in the Indian market faces a similar dilemma. Since they’ve launched so many hit products in the Indian market, every new product is expected to be a sales hit. Recently, this same issue arose when Hyundai was about to introduce the new Verna in the Indian market.
RENEWED SUCCESS
Now in its sixth generation, the Verna has been one of the most successful sedans in the Indian market. The previous generation cars were all amongst the top-selling cars in the segment, and many of them introduced many segment-first features and technologies in India such as the CRDi engine and ventilated seats, amongst other things. In the fourth generation then, we see more such features being offered, and we also get a powerful, turbocharged variant which promises a lot to the enthusiastic customer.
