BMW i Vision Dee

Concept with talking Al, full-windscreen head-up display and 'E Ink' body shows off tech that could feature on next 3 Series

IT TURNS OUT sci-fi talking cars aren't as farfetched as they seem. BMW has unveiled this i Vision Dee concept that showcases an artificial intelligence (Al) called Dee, which takes infotainment a step further by not only speaking but also displaying emotions.

As well as Dee, the car features a headup display that covers the full width of the windscreen - something we might see on BMW production models as early as 2025.

The i Vision concept gives some clues about the next-generation 3 Series executive car, which is due out in around 2027 and will probably be available as an electric car only.
