New Somdutt Transport Company Maximises Uptime With Eicher

Established in 1999, New Somdutt Transport Company (NSTC) was incorporated to meet the supply chain logistics needs of OEM suppliers in the northern region of India.

The company was established by Somdutt Yadav, and later, in 2017, Sunil Yadav, his son and current Director of the company, officially joined the leadership team.

The company began its journey in the year 2000 with just one vehicle. Four years later, in 2004, they acquired their second vehicle. Today, approximately 70 per cent of their business comes from Japanese companies and multinational corporations (MNCs). “We started with these companies and grew alongside them. From a single vehicle, we have now expanded to a fleet of approximately 450 vehicles. We currently serve more than 100 customers,” said Sunil Yadav, Director, Somdutt Logistics Pvt. Ltd. The company now boasts an annual turnover of around INR 100 crores and provides specialised logistics services to OEM vendors, primarily supplying automotive parts.

Currently, its core operations are based in Delhi NCR, but the company provides logistics services across India. In addition to a strong foothold in Delhi NCR, NSTC is also well-established in key markets such as Gujarat, Bangalore, Karnataka, Pune, Maharashtra, and Himachal Pradesh, regions where the company continues to experience active growth.

The company is steadily expanding into new regions as part of its strategy to build a robust pan-India presence. Their primary clients are suppliers to OEMs, and they currently have tie-ups with over 100 customers nationwide.

NSTC’s first client was Asahi India Glass Ltd., followed by Tenneco India Pvt. Ltd. Since then, the company has expanded its customer base significantly, establishing strong partnerships with several leading automotive suppliers, including Minda Corporation, Toyoda Gosei, Minda Kyoraku, Clutch FCC Technology, Y-Tech, Rane NSK, and many more.
