KEY SPECIFICATIONS

  • Designed for Heavy-Duty Off-road applications 
  • Rating up to a maximum of 605 hp (451 kW) 
  • Available in five-, six-, and seven-speed configurations (with overdrive) 
  • Two engine-drive PTO provisions 
  • Optional integral output retarder 
  • Advanced sixth-generation controls 
  • Advanced prognostic capabilities

Tier 1 supplier Allison Transmission is catering to diverse duty cycles including off-road applications. The company has developed the 4800 Wide-Body Dump (WBD) series for Heavy-Duty (HD) off-road applications where advancements will come into play for customers. The advancements at the company are on the fronts of rated power, multiple configuration options (with overdrive), two engine-driven Power Takeoff (PTO) provisions, and an optional integral output retarder for enhanced vehicle braking and to reduce braking wear. It is an advanced sixth-generation and comes with advanced prognostic capabilities.
