I had an incredible house in Las Vegas, which was originally owned by the guy who actually owns Las Vegas itself. I bought it to stay in whenever I’d play there for long periods of time and I didn’t want to stay in a hotel. The house was L-shaped, all decked out like a hotel, and it was so long you could jog around it. In fact, a friend of mine came over with his wife and when they saw another section of the house out of the window, they said, ‘I can’t believe Engelbert has neighbours so close by,’ so I said, ‘That’s not neighbours, that’s my house!’ When I was in Los Angeles, I rented my Vegas house to all the stars.
