I got drunk once and an expensive, PC Gamer recommended steering wheel showed up a week later. I rationalized that it would help my wife to overcome her driving anxiety, but it turns out Euro Truck Simulator 2 doesn’t really help with that. British roads are already too narrow for an American who hit another car on her driving test, let alone when you’re backing up a lorry.

So, after a brief honeymoon, the wheel, gears, and pedals started getting in the way and were stored, temporarily, back in their box. The weeks became months, and you can guess the rest.
