The 2017 NYG season couldn’t be off to a worse start and it could mean the season is over before the halfway point even reaches us.

The holes on the roster are expanding in both size and amount. The Giants are heading towards the level where every position may need to be considered come April.

RB Jaylen Samuels NC State (#20) – 5’11/236

One of the most versatile offensive players in the country that has about as unique of a role as I have ever seen at the college level. He plays running back, fullback, tight end/H-Back, and wide receiver. Samuels has always been a player that, no matter the situation or role, has made his presence known. His impact on NC State’s 31 start has been strong and steady, as has his entire career. Samuels leads the team in both rushing TDs (4) and receiving TDs (3) in addition to catches. The Giants offense has been stagnant and lacks variety. It’s been that way for over a year now and it has some to do with the scheme but also some to do with the fact their personnel groupings can make their play calling too predictable. Samuels gives an offense so many options from where he lines up to what he can actually do. It may take a creative offensive mind to really use him, but the impact could be great.

Vs. LB Trevon Young (#91) 6’4/254

AND LB Stacy Thomas (#32) 6’1/242

AND LB James Hearns (#99) 6’3/249 Louisville
