Frenchman admits he didn’t work enough on his time trialling in training
It said everything about Romain Bardet’s Tour de France expectations that the Frenchman had to fight back tears after not being able to sustain his challenge for the yellow jersey in the Marseille time trial on the race’s penultimate day. Yet, Vincent Lavenu, his manager at Ag2r is adamant that Bardet has taken another huge step towards achieving his ultimate ambition of a Tour victory.
