Some readers may not believe it, but basketball is thriving in what they may see as the frozen wilds of Canada and a lot of it has to do with the recent success of the Toronto Raptors. Making it to the Eastern Conference Semi-Final last year, the team gave a solid effort thanks to it stars like Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, but it was not enough to get past LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
