Ministers ‘living on another planet' over house prices

MINISTERS are “living on another planet” after setting prices at €450,000 in a so-called affordable housing scheme.

Social Democrats TD Cian O’Callaghan slammed the Government for approving the shared equity part of the Affordable Housing Bill.

This pitches affordable properties at prices of up to €450,000 for qualification for State funding for buyers wealthy enough to be able to pay that much.
