EMMA RADUCANU has targeted 2022 as a year of learning, however her Australian Open run plays out.
The 19-year-old made an impressive Australian debut yesterday against former world No3 Sloane Stephens — winning 6-0, 2-6, 6-1 — but played down suggestions she was about to go on a run to emulate her US Open success of last year.
“I think 2022 is all about learning for me,” she said, ahead of tomorrow’s second-round match against Danka Kovinic.
