What are your thoughts on the inclusion of women in the automotive industry?
Over the past few years, our economy has reached a place where both men and women are on par with each other. It is becoming a known fact that women love cars and luxury with equal zeal. If we take a trip down the historic lane, we will find that queens of England have had the best of carriages, designed beautifully and luxuriously. This clearly states that luxury has been the forte of women since time immemorial. It is, however, true that in the past women did not talk much openly about the engines and the design interior of a car. Gradually, women have emerged at the forefront of being vocal about these aspects thus bringing around a breath of fresh air to the masculine automotive industry.
Being an interior designer, how were you able to apply your skills in the merchandising business for Big Boy Toyz?
The way it is for mathematics where the formula stays the same, likewise, it is the same for any other aspect of life. Even though I am an interior designer, I have used my knowledge in curating the elements of colours, structure, look, and feel of the product.
