THE ROYAL COUPLE WERE CAUGHT ON CAMERA
THE PHOTOS THE PALACE TRIED TO HIDE!

As the world prepares to celebrate the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s 10-year wedding anniversary in April, intimate photographs of the beloved royal couple have resurfaced – ones Buckingham Palace reportedly tried to keep buried.

The images, which were taken back in 2009, show Prince William and his then on-again off-again girlfriend, Kate Middleton, sharing a very passionate kiss in a car park. The pair had just reunited after a brief break-up in 2007.

While royal protocol stipulates one should not show affection in public, Wills was busted locking lips with Kate during their secret catch-up at The Potting Shed Pub in Crudwell, England, in the dark of night. It was the first time the couple, whose relationship had been shrouded in scandal and uncertainty at the time, had been pictured together since their split.

The intimate photos resurfacing on the eve of Wills and Kate’s anniversary is rather bad timing.

After everything that’s happened in the past 12 months – from Megxit to Prince Andrew’s fall from grace – the palace was hoping the couple’s anniversary would be smooth sailing and a cause for celebration. The last thing the royal family needs right now is more scandal and backlash tarnishing the monarchy.
