Mobilized - India's Cyber Space Weapon

A red letter day for India as DRDO successfully tested our first Anti-Satellite missile (ASAT). Now, DRDO codenamed this test as Mission Shakti as it rightly displayed our might to the world that we too are capable of safeguarding our national security interests.

It took the 13-metre long missile nearly 190 seconds to shoot down our own low earth orbiting (LEO) Microstat-R satellite which was 268 km away from the earth. Usually, all the military and the live satellites are present in the LEO which ranges from 160 km to 2,000 km. Also, most of the communication satellites are sent in this orbit. This feat makes us the fourth country to successfully test the ASAT missile after Russia, USA, and China.
