With the LUMIX BS1H, we are targeting customers who require a multiple camera setup for streaming and production applications.
Q. Shridhar Kunte (SK): Who is the target audience of the LUMIX BS1H?

A. Fumiyasu Fujimori (FF): The LUMIX BS1H is a versatile box-style camera that combines the cinema quality videos of the LUMIX S1H with an easy-to-deploy profile. The camera features a 24MP full frame sensor, along with Dual Native ISO that captures 6K resolution, making it the perfect partner for professional filmmakers and digital content creators. Secondly, we are targeting customers who require multiple cameras for streaming and production applications. The BS1H is flexible, and can be easily mounted on drones and vehicles. We recently tested such applications by creating a use case scenario video.

Q. SK: How is this camera different from your other mirrorless lineup such as the S series?

A. FF: Panasonic’s new LUMIX BS1H is an advanced offering in the professional imaging industry. Equipped with features such as 6K video and multiple recording modes with high connectivity and mobility, the BS1H promises the best of both worlds. Filmmakers can customise their setup for higher-end productions. It also offers an improved continuous recording/streaming service for live video and other longer-form productions. The versatility of this camera is evident in its applications ranging from wedding, documentaries, cinema and OTT platforms to usage on FPV drones and in medical and industrial settings. Unlike the more traditional S Series, one can control over a maximum of 12 sets of LUMIX BS1H cameras using the Panasonic PC software LUMIX Tether for Multicam.
