Ahome can reveal a lot about its owner, especially if you’re as meticulous and exacting as Clive Choo is. Every aspect of the 36-year-old entrepreneur’s two-bedroom apartment near the East Coast was designed to his specifications, leaving no stone unturned.

After much consideration, Clive, who lives with his two dogs, Miwa and Yoshi (8 and 2 years old respectively), chose Happe Design Atelier. Ean Chu’s work particularly caught his attention. “I had specific ideas of my own, including suppliers and finishings I wanted to work with,” says Clive. “The challenge was for Happe Design Atelier to marry its design language with mine to ensure coherence.”

Due to the pandemic, the entire process took about five months and cost $90,000, excluding furnishings.

“I WANTED TO SEPARATE THE KITCHEN AND THE LIVING ROOM FROM THE BEDROOMS SO I COULD PHYSICALLY EXPERIENCE THE CHANGE WHEN MOVING FROM ONE SPACE TO ANOTHER.” -
