Abraham Kriel Bambanani is a Johannesburg-based, nonprofit children’s charity. The organisation’s Langlaagte campus offers specialist residential care for 100 youngsters with severe trauma and/or intellectual challenges. In Observatory, its Maria Kloppers centre houses 50 babies and toddlers who are in need of a place of safety. There are also seven satellite, family unit-style homes where vulnerable young people live with a supervising house mother and two care-in-the community programmes serving approximately 350 HIV/AIDS-affected children in Westbury and Soweto.
