|November 2016
For a moment, I sat, and was thinking about health activities in November. All of us have been already shocked to note that, due to a lot of change in climate during mansoon, this year rain was lese and this state experienced famine in some parts and very rarely flood in northern parts of Karnataka.
Now in winter, we have been exposed to severe hot climate. We have missed cold touch of passing wind in this period. We have to tame our body, to suit to all climate changes and variations. In this background the only manthra we can utter is health.
Yoga and medical experts have advised us, to practice yoga and to do exercises, to walk regularly, to keep our body healthy and fit. In this context let me go through the list of important interrelated activities, connected with health. During 1st week of November from 6th to 8th world celebrates world run day. Intention of this day is to highlight the sport of running .
World wide, The goal is to increase the no of runners and promote the health benefits of running and encouraging runners to donate to their own favourite charity on this special day. Free tools are being given to individual /group, who host this event in their community. At the international level, to bring awareness of the event, communications are being given to runners, running industries, various media. wishing a healthy future for both yours and old, organizers of this event have relied more on social media, for fast and individual circulation.
World run days programmes are as follows
Promote running:- Running is a solution to stop childhood obesity. In collaboration with running organizations, schools, corporations and charities, this activity continues throughout the year.
Promote charitable giving Running community can help victims of natural disasters, disease or any worthy cause.
mobilize the running community Along with promoting running, the purpose of this celebration is to provide locations for people, to run locally.
