Her strong will and determination enhanced her creativity and made her achieve heights of success in a home based culinary venture-Sugar Rush. Ayten Gill’s success story is a classic example of how one can follow their passion overpoweringly.
Ayten shared, “I hold a master’s degree in Business and administration and worked in real estate multi nationals before giving it up to start my own venture in Chandigarh called Sugar Rush. Once I started following my passion, there was no looking back then”.
What prompted you to be an entrepreneur?
The inspiration came from the ability to be as creative as you want to be and show people something they have never seen before. It was exciting not to be limited by an employer. For a lot of people it may be about money, fame or freedom but for me, it was mostly the excitement of being creative and thinking on my own and fulfilling my own vision and making it a reality.
How did you go about it?
After completing many courses and perfecting my recipes, I decided to launch the business. We sent out cupcakes and cakes for tasting to friends and family. We created a page on Facebook and Instagram and before we knew it, the orders started to pour in. There has been no looking back since.
