HC says bank got back ₹300cr, gives bail to Deepak Kochhar
Mumbai: The Bombay high court on Thursday granted bail to Deepak Kochhar, husband of former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar, in a money laundering case under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). As he directed Kochhar’s release on a personal bond of Rs 3 lakh, Justice P D Naik observed that a loan of Rs 300 crore was repaid in its entirety to ICICI Bank and no loss was caused to it.

Airia Mall in Association with TRRAIN Creates Livelihood for Persons with Disabilities
In India there are about 26.8 million Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) out of which their employment is less than 1 percent, as per the census of 2011. In an attempt to support employment to PwDs, AIRIA Mall in association with Trust for Retailers and Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN) is opening a training centre to train them through TRRAIN’s livelihood creation program, Pankh – Wings of Destiny. On completion of their training, the trainees will be employed in the mall and its retail brands. The inauguration of the centre was done by Deepak Sethi, Project Director Reach Promoters Pvt Ltd and Sanjeev Kumar Centre Head, AIRIA Mall.

The court directed her to surrender her passport immediately and not leave the country without its permission.
