Almost one year after splitting from her chef and restaurateur beau Emilio Vitolo Jnr, Katie Holmes has found a sweet groove with her daughter around their Manhattan neighbourhood. “What I love about New York is that for me and my child, this is our vibe,” the actress told InStyle magazine in 2020. “When there are 25 things to do every night, it takes you out of your own thing. The city has a lot to offer.”

After riding out most of the pandemic sewing, painting, baking, and crafting with Suri, who turns 16 on April 18, the pair’s bond is tighter than ever. “To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift,” she wrote in a piece for Vogue Australia in November 2020.

Stylish Suri is often snapped out and about with friends, walking her dogs, or grabbing takeaway food with her mum. “You’d struggle to find a mother-daughter duo who are more in sync with each other,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They’re a real team – their connection is a beautiful thing to witness.”
