At Home With Jenson Button'S Fiancee Brittny Ward As She Tells How The Racing Ace Is In Pole Position To Be The Most Amazing Dad

This time last year, Californian model Brittny Ward was newly engaged to British former Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button and the blissfully happy couple had their sights set on their wedding, due to take place this summer.

Fast forward 12 months and, to their surprise, the significant date on the horizon now looks ever so slightly different. Instead of making lastminute preparations for some fairytale Italian nuptials, the couple are at home, putting the finishing touches to a nursery as they count down the final weeks to the birth of their first child, a baby boy, due on 30 July.

Brittny, 29, is full of excitement as she talks exclusively to hello! in her first major interview and photoshoot at their home Beverly Hills as they gear up to become a family. “This baby is going to be a very lucky boy,” she says. “Jenson is really ready to be a father. Some men just do it because they think it’s what they should do in life but he really does want it.”

Jenson, 39, adds: “I couldn’t be more excited about extending our family with this wonderful lady. Watching first hand what a woman has to go through is mind blowing,

“I’m so proud and both I and our unborn son are so lucky to have her.”

TEARS OF JOY

When they first found out they were to be parents, it came as a shock – but definitely a happy one, as Brittny reveals: “Jenson was away when I found out and I wanted to tell him face to face, so I waited until he returned home. It was so hard not to say anything on the phone but I thought it was more special to do it in person. I gave him a gift box with the [positive] test in it and he started crying. It was a very sweet moment,” she says, smiling at the memory. “It was exactly what you’d want the father of your future child to do.
