Attending to a person in their hour of death is one of the most honorable and sacred things we can do for one another. Through state-of-the-art technology, education, and a deep devotion to compassionate care Maxwell Healthcare Associates aims to forever change the way we live our final days.
-
Next to facing our own mortality, the most challenging and heartbreaking aspect of life is living through the death of someone we love. Every day, in thousands of homes and dedicated facilities across the nation, hospice workers offer patients and families the support they need to navigate this ultimate transition.
As advancements in medicine have extended life expectancy and altered perceptions about end-of-life care, more and more people are choosing to die at home or in the care of deeply compassionate professionals whose vocation it is to help the terminally ill leave this life. Pursuing a career that transforms the way humans experience their final days is an extraordinary one, and not for the faint of heart.
Enter Tom and Jennifer Maxwell, founders of Maxwell Healthcare Associates and Co-Founders of Muse Healthcare, whose purpose is to transform the healthcare industry’s final frontier. With deep expertise in hospice and home care, electronic records technology, and education, the couple were industry leaders prior to establishing MHA. A former Navy hospital corpsman, Tom served as chief strategy officer and COO chief operations officer of Homecare Homebase, the nation’s largest electronic medical records firm specializing in homecare and Hospice healthcare, and that has significant M&A experience.
In addition to her role as an executive account manager at a top home health and hospice consulting firm, in the years before MHA, Jennifer served as CEO and executive director of the Minnesota Homecare Association and was a former adjunct professor of psychology and sociology at Colorado Christian University.
