John’s Stealthlaner is going great guns – apart from worn tyres and fluid leaks

John Pearson
Tread Alert

I’m really happy with the way my Disco 2 Stealthlaner project has worked out. Converting my everyday vehicle into a discreet-looking greenlaner has been a success, proving that with relatively few modifications, a cheap and cheerful D2 can be competent away from the tarmac.

Fitting Wildbear bumpers front and rear and junking low hanging items like the towbar and rear step has significantly improved approach and departure angles. And steering, tank and diff guards have armoured it up nicely for when the going gets rocky.
