ANOTHER STORY OF CHARLEY AND FRIENDS’ MADCAP ADVENTURES...

Hey, I scheme every biker carries in his kop that one dream boney that he’s always wanted to have and he knows that if he ever gets to own that bike then he’s sommer gonna be like the most main meneer oke in the world. I mean like I can remember when I was a lightie and I used to sit and stare at this picture of a BMW R100RS that always used to be on the back cover of Cycle Magazine and I’d check at its moerse silver-grey fairing as it stood in the middle of this wind-tunnel with a big propeller spinning behind it making wind so that the bike could be tested to lank high speeds in the BMW labs deep underground in Germany where Bee-Em did all their top-secret goeters.

When I used to check at that picture, in my mind I sommer knew that while all the other ordinary okes around me were busy grafting in the bank and wasting their money on buying houses and getting married and other doff stuff, one day I was gonna own a BMW R100RS. But then, of course, the Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans came out and it was twenty kays an hour faster and it could out-handle any BMW on any day of the week and so I quickly got over my BMW dream and learnt all about how moer of strong Guzzi pistons were.

But now what you okes have got to understand is that this falling in love with a boney can hit you at any time. It’s like when you’ve been living your life lekker peacefully and then suddenly you meet this lank hot chick and you can’t stop scheming about her. Now at least with a chick you’ll eventually get over her because there are lotsa of other chickies walking around but when you fall for a boney it’s overs. Last Sunday morning I was once again reminded of the madness that comes with bike-lust…

DESERT ADVENTURE BIKE TRAINING

The Southwest desert is arguably one of the most uniquely scenic areas of the United States. Its vast majesty, laced with a network of roads of every kind, encompasses six states. These backcountry byways can take us to some amazingly beautiful and desolate destinations. The catch? They are mostly unpaved and many are technical, sandy, rutted, off-camber desert trails with stream crossings and frequently changing slopes. Wind and rain ensure that no two days will see the exact same conditions.
