Misery guts

We are a silly old bunch, aren't we? Us retro gaming enthusiasts. Getting upset at so many things that don't matter in the slightest. A little of that playground rivalry can be fun, but only if it isn't taken too seriously. If we mean it, it stops being enjoyable and becomes rather nasty.

I've had a couple of people online call me out for jumping on the retro bandwagon. Doing podcasts, shows, this column - simply to garner an audience and to make money. And while it is true I am paid £1,500 per RG piece I submit, I'm not exactly coining it in. I don't think anyone on the scene is. And trust me, I ain't doing this for fame! Although saying that, I do get a warm glow when people at said events come up to me and ask if I am Richard Bacon.
