THE heartbroken family of a woman who was killed in her own home described her as “the most innocent, caring and nurturing person you could ever come across” as a coroner ruled her death was unlawful.

- ROBERT DALLING

An inquest held at Pembrokeshire County Hall into the death of Lisa Fraser heard the 52-year-old the found dead at her home in Military Road in Pembroke Dock on the morning of May 13, 2022.

A postmortem examination found she died from “multiple sharp force injuries including a cut throat”.

Matthew Harries, of Barn Court in Haverfordwest, was arrested at the scene and later charged with murder but was found hanged in his prison cell at HMP Long Lartin in Worcestershire two weeks after Ms Fraser's death on May 27, 2022. The 41-year-old died the following day.

Officers for Dyfed-Powys Police had discovered Harris at the scene, and he told officers: “I killed a Nazi. I've just killed a Nazi in there’

He also told them that he needed to go to jail and was “guilty as charged”.
