Man admits to rioting in aftermath of e-bike crash deaths

ANOTHER man has pleaded guilty to rioting that broke out after the death of two teenage boys killed in an e-bike crash.

The riot in Ely, Cardiff, involved more than 150 people as police and protesters clashed on the streets in May 2023.
Keiron Beccano, 37, had previously denied the charge of rioting, but appeared at Cardiff Crown Court yesterday to admit the offence just weeks before he was due to face trial. Beccano, of Closs Y Cwrra, St Fagans, was remanded on bail to appear for sentencing on December 22.
At least 15 people have now pleaded guilty to charges of riot, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment.
