Lyn Parry on the third hole at Downes Crediton Golf Club after scoring the first of her three hole-in-ones

(Submitted)

Lyn Parry, a member of Downes Crediton Golf Club in Devon, hit the remarkable run of form during October. The retired player only took up golf at the age of 58 but now boasts an incredible five career aces - with three of them coming in just 31 days.

Speaking about her first October hole-in-one, Lyn said: "It was the day of our club AGM, on the third hole. The greens had just been sanded, so I didn't see it go in.

"I knew it was close, and when I couldn't see the ball I was thinking, 'Don't tell me it's gone off the back!' But no, it was in the hole! Because it was the AGM, I was very popular - it meant everyone coming in was getting a free drink!"
