She was doing her Ph.D in integrated Medical Biology at Umea University at Umea in Sweden.

Roshni Das went to Sweden in 2018 for Ph.D and came to Durgapur once in 2019 after the death of her father.

She was the only child of her parents. Her father was a retired employee of the stateowned Durgapur Projects Limited.

Her mother deposited the money on 6 October from SBI Durgapur into her daughter’s Swedish bank account, but was unable to contact her since then.
