App cab driver beaten to death in Bijoygarh, no arrest so far

A 36-year-old app cab driver was allegedly lynched close to his residence at Bijoygarh in the Jadavpur area by five persons on Friday.
Police have registered a suo motu case, though no arrest has been made so far in connection with the incident.
His crime: He had allegedly hit a scooter while parking his vehicle at Lalakar ground under ward no. 96 around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. The two-wheeler parked there at the spot turned over after the car hit it. The bereaved family members and local residents could not even understand how it was possible to beat him to death only for such a non-serious offence.
