A TINY hamlet on the edge of Stoke-on- Trent could grow by a third if Green Belt land is used for housing as part of the city’s Local Plan, a councillor has warned.

More than 100 people packed into Baddeley Edge Baptist Church to hear how the proposals would affect Light Oaks.

Councillor Dave Evans, who represents the Baddeley, Milton and Norton areas, highlighted the hamlet's hilly location, narrow roads and old buildings.

He said: “You're not even a village here, you're more of a hamlet on a hill.
