Upgrade to A50 could unlock £24m for city and create 470 jobs!

IMPROVEMENTS to parts of the A50 could result in a major boost to the economy with hundreds of jobs created, according to a new study.
A newly-released economic assessment by Midlands Connect points to the significant benefits that could be unlocked by A50 improvements at Uttoxeter and neighbouring junctions at Blythe Bridge and Sudbury.
The study shows that if the upgrades are delivered by 2031, a total of 2,192 jobs could be created. It could see 470 in Stoke-on-Trent, 520 in East Staffordshire, 194 in Newcastle, 151 in Staffordshire Moorlands and 241 in Stafford.
