The Sentinel
|July 09, 2025
NEWCASTLE & Hartshill thirds' bowlers delivered the goods to set up their win against Meakins 3rd XI in NSSCL Division Six.

Meakins could only muster 72 all out in Saturday's contest as T Abel and M Smith picked up 4-21 and 3-13 respectively.
A Bratt (20) and C Gunathilaka (13) made the most progress with the bat for the home side.
J Coxon replied with 3-17, but Castle found their way to a four-wicket victory inside 16 overs.
R Hall top-scored with 16 and T Angoda and A Keates chipped in with 13 apiece.
Table-topping Wood Lane seconds made it 10 wins out of 11 following their win at Stafford thirds.
M Leigh's unbeaten 80 and B Forster's 62 were instrumental in guiding Wood Lane to 204-3 from their 40 overs.
Leigh hit eight fours and one six, with Forster's knock containing the same amount of boundaries. J Williams took a couple of wickets for Stafford.
The hosts saw I Atherton (34no) and J Bartlett (30) shine in their run chase.
But Wood Lane's bowlers held sway as J Bell's 3-17 and 3-19 from A Brown saw Stafford all out for 123.
