Traffic partially restored on Thamarassery Ghat Road

A single accident or spell of heavy rain is enough to cut off Wayanad from the rest of Kerala.
After 26 hours of disruption, traffic on the Thamarassery Ghat Road was partially restored by 9 pm on Wednesday. Vehicles stranded at Adivaram in Kozhikode and Lakkidi in Wayanad were allowed to pass, but Wayanad District Collector D R Meghashree informed the route would be closed again once the backlog was cleared.
