Woltemade joins up with Germans

NICK Woltemade has returned to international duty with Germany after discussions between the German FA and Newcastle United.

But it remains to be seen when he is back in full training or whether he faces Luxembourg in the World Cup qualifiers tomorrow night.

With Germany in need of a big win against the international minnows, Woltemade is deemed an integral part of Julian Nagelsmann’s plans, despite what Bayern Munich chiefs claim, and the German FA medics want to check out the 6ft 6in striker.

It had looked like Woltemade may be able to rest up during the international break after delaying linking up with the Germany squad. But he could feature against Luxembourg and in Belfast against Northern Ireland on Monday night.
