TWO sisters have started an online gift shop aimed at spreading joy, humour and positivity after one of them was diagnosed with a rare condition.

Steph and Natalie Wood, from Hexham, had long dreamed of starting a business together.
When Steph was diagnosed with the rare autoimmune disease MOGAD and was unable to continue full-time work as a personal trainer, she teamed up with Natalie and Laughing Sisters was born.
The company began trading in November 2024, and the website launched in January, selling a range of quirky gifts.
