THE KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM A DRAMATIC DAY AT THE STADIUM OF LIGHT

Spirited Sunderland go on defying the critics

Enzo Le Fee made no mistake from the penalty spot

SUNDERLAND just do not know when they're beaten. The Black Cats produced yet another brilliant performance at the Stadium of Light to pick up three more points against Bournemouth ahead of a tricky run of games.

Head coach Regis Le Bris got his tactics and substitutions spot on as the Wearsiders continued to upset the Premier League applecart. They made hard work of it with two costly errors inside the opening 15 minutes, but it would be remiss not to mention the effect the weather had on the game.

Sunderland didn't wilt under pressure after going 2-0 down, showing their resilience and quality to move back into the top four after the whistle.

A 3-2 win against a side that has received so many plaudits in recent years should not be sniffed at.

Here are some of the moments you might have missed:

One thing we know from Le Bris from his time at the helm is that he isn't afraid to spring a surprise. After questions about the side's fluidity and attacking potency in a back five at Fulham, the Sunderland head coach reverted to the shape that served them well last season.
