Going the distance for charity after loss of son

A CYCLIST from Northumberland is set to take on a mammoth 252-mile charity challenge after the tragic loss of his young son.
Samuel Parker is raising money for the charity Sands, an organisation that offered his family essential support, after they suffered the heart-breaking loss of baby Dylan in 2020.
He said: “Sands is such an important charity as they supported me and Dylan's mother after we sadly lost him.
“The amount of support they provide is fantastic and it varies for couples, mothers and fathers.
“The charity recognises the numerous challenges and needs that different people face in the most incredibly tough times.
