The Crystal Palace defender has shot to fame with a series of excellent displays for the Eagles, earning international recognition in the process.
It's no surprise he is at the top of Newcastle United’s summer wishlist once again, with the Magpies reportedly ready to meet Palace's asking price amid fierce competition from Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool. The 24-year-old came through the academy ranks at Stamford Bridge, but left without making a Premier League appearances for the London side.
However, his career has blossomed at Selhurst Park, with his abilities recognised by former England manager Gareth Southgate.
The Ivory Coast-born defender was first called up in 2022, and he has since gone on to establish himself as a first choice centre-back for last summer’s EURO24 campaign.
