Chef catches on to tasty fish dishes by the shore

RICK Stein has revealed that one of his favourite restaurants in the UK is in the North East.

In a recent instalment of The Travel Diaries podcast, Rick, known for such culinary TV shows as Rick Stein's Far Eastern Odyssey and Rick Stein's Mediterranean Escapes, was asked to name his favourite restaurants in the UK.

He narrowed it down to just two, the first of which was Riva, a longstanding Italian in Barnes, London, that is what he described as “one of those rare restaurants” where the patron is “always there”.
