Arrests and seizures in week of police action

SUSPECTED drugs have been seized and over 20 arrests have been made as part of a police crackdown across the North East.

A week of police action resulted in suspects arrested, along with suspected class A drugs as well as cash and electronics seized.
The week of action was headed by the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit (NEROCU), with the support of Cleveland Police, Durham Constabulary and Northumbria Police, as well as regional partners.
Several warrants were carried out in the North East and 22 people were arrested on suspicion of a range of offences.
