20,000-plot natural burial site plan

PLANS have been lodged with Gateshead Council to build a new burial ground with around 20,000 plots between Crawcrook and Prudhoe.

Forever Green Fields Ltd has submitted an application for a “natural burial ground”, on land to the north of the A695, next to Bradley Hall Farm. The prospective burial ground will contain space for between 18,871 to 22,287 burials according to planning documents.
